What we will cover

  1. Week 1

    Rekordbox Foundations

    • Installing and setting up Rekordbox
    • Organizing and loading in tracks
    • Understanding BPM, key and track structure (beat grid)
    • Starting a personal music library
    • Overview of your controller
    • Confidence with mistakes
  2. Week 2

    Hardware & First Mixes

    • Controller drills
    • Cueing, beatmatching basics and transitions
    • Intro to mixing
    • Feeling into rhythm
    • Gaining confidence behind the decks
    • A 3-track mini set
  3. Week 3

    Flow & Storytelling

    • Crafting the arc of a set: warm-up, peak, landing
    • Mixing with intention and energy shifts
    • Intro to FX and transitions for dynamic sound
    • Headphone cues
    • Tempo and pitch range (±6, ±10, wide)
    • Controller creativity
  4. Week 4

    Full Set Practice & Feedback

    • Play your prepared 30-minute set start to finish
    • DJ Avatar Activation
    • Live feedback for smoothness, confidence and crowd flow
    • Next steps if you want to go deeper, like vocal recording
